[21 Aug 2008|07:10pm] i am neither attending reading festival nor 'frightfest' and this leaves me feeling rather apathetic. last year, danielle promised me she would take me to reading and my mother promised me she would take me to frightfest... then i went and got a job.  due to this, i suppose i can't complain too much. especially since i just spent my first pay check on a bunch of lighting stuff for my camera which leaves me feeling rather glad that i actually have a job which results in me having the money to do such things. today is my day off, and to be honest, i haven't really moved that much save for coffee refills and to find out how my brothers did with their gcses. i've also been rreceiving updates from danielle about various goings on in magaluf. despite the fact that... magaluf isn't exactly my idea of an entertaining holiday, i would give anything right now to be on a beach somewhere that is not in the uk. seriously.  i am actually so incredibly bored right now, that i phoned up work earlier to say that i don't want any days off until thursday which means that i get to... store them all up and have four days off in a row when there are actually people around to do stuff with.  iiin other news: - i'm setting up a properproper photography site. oh yes. - danielle and i thought it would be fantastic idea if we both dyed our hair neon pink. it was all entirely amusing until she went on holiday and left me here, alone with... neon pink hair. neon. pink. see, it's amusing when there's two of you, but now... it's just me with the bright pink hair. - i've had all the details through for university enrollment and freshers week. i also finalised my whole "studying in france" thing. "oh yes" x two.  - speaking of university. brighton university got in touch with me. =| i almost died when i answered the telephone. on account of my grades, they decided they were going to overlook my lack of a foundation degree and accept me onto the course. i said yes straight away, but when i followed it up, it turned out that i couldn't accept their offer because i had already ready firmly accepted swansea's and it was "legally binding" and such. - i'm actually really enjoying my job. i'm still finding it incredibly odd that i now function as a member of society. but still... - i think i have discovered one of the most painful piercings. seriously. i don't even know why, but it just constantly... aches. =| - i got my sternum pierced. see above. post comment

[19 Feb 2008|09:50pm] so, i've decided to get another livejournal, simply due to the fact that i want to have an account that i can use to post countless pointless entries of things that inspire me... and i don't want to irritate the people on my friends list. anyhow, today, i got given the questions for my photography exam. basically, we get given a selection of themes/issues to base our photogtaphy exam project upon. for example, there was "explore interiors and exteriors" and "document growing up". there was also the statment "deconstruction" or "social satire", and i think i'll probably go for one of those. but, if i choose to do deconstruction, it won't be in the way i think the exam paper is hinting at. i think i'll angle it more towards the philiosphical definition of deconstruction, as in, the whole... concept of binary opposities defining meaning. i think that could be an interest topic to explore. so, anyhow, i have a tendancy to save a million and one photographs, paointings and random... stuff onto my computer if i like it, so, i'm going to start documenting all my... inspiration, i guess, here. there's no point to it, but i like the idea of it, basically.  ( ... )   post comment
